E-mail Me Director - Mia Joshi E-mail Me Description: Oversees the artistic staff and guides the production with a vision. Coordinates rehearsal and production schedules. Engages in design meetings with the tech director, scene designer, sound designer, light designer, and costumer. Leads nightly rehearsals that are designed to fulfill two objectives: 1) cultivate a sense of community among first years and staff 2) prepare for the performance of a show. During Tech Week, the TD is in charge of the SAB and oversees the technical crew. During the semester, the TD is in charge of selecting the Tech Staff and performing equipment rentals. E-mail Me Business Manager - Erin McDonald E-mail Me Description: The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the show. He/ She obtains the rights to the show each semester, runs the house during the show, is responsible for all budgets, oversees publicity and funraising campaigns, sits on the selection committee for the new musical and much, much more! This Year: New stuff going on this year for B-Staff includes a reorganization of record-keeping techniques and preparation for filing in order to obtain NPO status. Organizes the fundraising campaign for parent and alumni support of the show. Creates the show program. Serves as the House Manager for the production. E-mail Me Publicity Chair - Kaity Houk, Pearl Ho E-mail Us Description: The Publicity Chair is a member of Business Staff and is in charge of advertising for the show. This position is elected every semester. The Publicity Chair's responsibilities include: flyering for interest meetings, flyering, table tents and any other kind of visual advertising for the show, and show t-shirts which are worn during production week as another form of advertisement. Overall, this office is in charge of making sure that the greater UVA community knows about our shows and comes to see them. E-mail Me Fundraising Chair - Mehul Sahni E-mail Me Description: The fundraising chair is responsible for organizing tabling on the Lawn to sell tickets for the show. He or she is also responsible for conducting the staff auction in which FYP staff members are sold to the cast. The 50/50 raffle is also organized by the fundraising chairperson. E-mail Me Social Chairs - Gavin Rohrer, Jason Carpenter E-mail Us Description: The social chairs are, as their name implies, in charge of social functions for the semester. One of the best parts about FYP is that they everyone is close and has a good time together outside of rehearsals. They work hard, and they play hard. The Histroian is also in charge of creating picture bios of the cast and staff before the opening of the show.
